莎拉·里昂鐵衛是一名高階的鋼鐵兄弟会軍官和里昂之傲突击队的指挥官。
背景[]
莎拉於2251年出生在加州的鋼鐵兄弟會總部。
在她出生一两年后，她的母亲就不幸离世。此时正是获选者成功阻止英克雷軍隊擴展到美國西部，鋼鐵兄弟會開始派一些人前往東岸的華盛頓特區；主要任務是要回收該地區的站前科技以及調查變種人在該地區活動的報告。
於是，她的父親，一位名為歐文‧里昂的聖騎士帶著當時才三歲大的莎拉和學士雷納德‧羅柴爾德以及一些成員長途跋涉到華府；並在五角大廈遺址建立兄弟會在美國東岸的據點，並成功阻止了變種人在華府的行動。
到了2277年，當年的聖騎士歐文‧里昂已變成了兄弟會在東岸的長老，而她的女兒莎拉也已長大成人，但她是兄弟會裡最優秀的戰士，兄弟会中唯一一个获得“铁卫”头衔的成员。目前負責指揮里昂之傲菁英隊。

- 尋找父親的下落：玩家跟莎拉第一次接觸是在這次的任務，透過對話能得知變種人正在對星河電台(Galaxy News Radio)發動攻擊。玩家要幫他們掃蕩變種人，之後玩家還要幫忙消滅巨型變種人(super mutant behemoth)。
- 奪回淨水廠: 莎拉會陪著玩家一路到傑佛遜紀念館，跟著玩家對付英克雷的軍隊以及阿頓上校(Colonel Autumn)。 根據玩家的選擇，莎拉會有三種動作。
- 玩家啟動淨水器，莎拉為你的死哀悼(除非安裝斷鋼資料片)
- 莎拉啟動淨水器，自己死在裡面
- 等到傑佛遜紀念館爆炸
- 誰是贏家
: 當玩家逃離英克雷的行動基地時，莎拉會再度出現(如果她沒死的話)她會跟著你搭乘直升機回到兄弟會總部。
玩家的行為對她的影響[]
- 如果玩家一開始就穿著動力裝甲，她會告訴你你能幫忙他們打贏在星河電台的變種人。
- 如果玩家自己啟動淨水器，她會存活下來。但她會處於昏迷狀態，當然如果玩家叫福克斯、RL-3機器人或是卡隆來啟動也是如此。
- 如果是由莎拉啟動淨水器的話，她就會掛掉不再出現。
- 當完成所有主要任務，跟莎拉進行對話，她表示她希望能夠比玩家更強。
- If you betray the Brotherhood instead and launch an orbital strike on the Citadel, she and the other Brotherhood members who picked you up will attack you in a fury, calling you a traitor. It is then possible to kill her, as she will no longer be an essential non-player character.

Notes[]
- Although her stats are normally on par with a normal Brotherhood of Steel Paladin，在"奪回進水廠"任務時會HP爆衝到505, giving her extremely high durability on par with Star Paladin Cross while she fights alongside the player during the game's final battle. Additionally, as a plot-critical non-player character, she cannot be killed by the player or other characters during the course of the game, merely knocked unconscious.
- Sarah Lyons is coded as an non-player character companion, and therefore uses up ammunition for her weapons, unlike most standard non-player characters. She has more than 100 microfusion cells in her inventory to prevent her from running out of ammunition under normal circumstances.
- Getting her armor can be done by reverse-pickpocketing her, stealing an identical copy from other Lyons' Pride members or (if Broken Steel is installed) killing her after destroying the Citadel.
- After you destroy the Enclave at the end of Broken Steel, the first thing she will say to you afterwards is, "When I first saw you long ago in that alley Chevy Chase, I thought you were just some trashy Wastelander. I'm glad to see I was wrong.", even if the Lone Wanderer never completed the Galaxy News Radio quest.

- At the end of the game Sarah Lyons can glitch into either saying that the control room still isn't clear or repeat the phrase "Steel be with you!"
- After Waters of Life, before speaking to Rothchild to start the quest Finding the Garden of Eden, Lyons will appear on the road leading from Arlington Library to the Flooded Metro, walking along the road to a point past the Nuka-Cola Plant.
